FY 2024-2026 Virginia Homeless and Special Needs Housing (HSNH) Application Process is Now Open

The community-based grant application process for the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development’s (DHCD) Virginia Homeless and Special Needs Housing (HSNH) funding is now open.

Interested applicants will need to coordinate requests through the Blue Ridge Continuum of Care’s (CoC) local application process.

New applicants will need to complete the CoC’s FY 2024 – 2026 HSNH New Applicant Threshold Review form.

Current recipients wishing to apply for renewal funds will need to complete the CoC’s FY 2024 – 2026 HSNH Project Applicant Executive Summary form.

Interested applicants should thoroughly review DHCD’s 2024-2026 HSNH Program Guidelines to ensure the proposed project can meet all requirements.

Organizations interested in applying for funding should contact Matthew Crookshank at matthew.crookshank@roanokeva.gov or Alison Jorgensen at alisonj@councilofcommunityservices.org for information on local funding priorities and applicant eligibility, or with questions about the HSNH program requirements.  

Projects will be ranked by the CoC Ranking Committee using the rating and review procedure included below. The Executive Summary form, attached above, must be completed and submitted to Katie Kennedy at katie.kennedy@roanokeva.gov by March 22, 2024.
